Why Halo Laser Treatment?

The Sciton Halo laser is the world’s first-ever hybrid fractional laser. That means Halo is a combination of two lasers, one non-ablative (coagulating affected tissue), and one ablative (vaporizing away the affected tissue). Quintessa in Milwaukee and Madison metro areas of Wisconsin are excited to be one of only a few providers in the Midwest to offer Halo Laser treatments to our patients.

You should consider Halo laser treatment if you are combatting wrinkles, discoloration, sagging skin, large pores, or scarring damage from sun exposure, aging or everyday stress. Halo fractional laser treatments can resolve these issues with shockingly little downtime (the epidermis or topmost skin layers remain intact).

Is There Recovery or Downtime Following Halo Laser Treatment?

Halo laser treatments are nothing like early laser skin treatments and they are nothing like microdermabrasion. Instead, you are working with a board-certified physician, the dermis is never broken or pierced, blood is never drawn, and the technology was designed for patient comfort.

Therefore, you can enjoy the following:

Fast Healing

Most patients return to their normal activities, including makeup, within 24 hours.

Minimal Downtime

Most patients have a small amount of swelling, and each small area of laser injury creates a small flake of skin that is visually minimized with a heavy moisturizer.

Simple Aftercare

Results are noticeable immediately after peeling and ongoing improvement will continue throughout the next few months.

What Results Can I Expect After Halo Laser Treatment?

Halo laser treatments are recommended for men and women who would like to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles—but there are other benefits too.

Additional results include:

  • Improves the skin’s tone and laxity
  • Smoothes and softens the skin’s texture
  • Addresses sun damaged areas
  • Reduces deep areas of hyperpigmentation
  • Improves epidermal dark spots
  • Diminishes the look of large pores
  • Erases fine lines and wrinkles

HALO Fractional Laser FAQs:

How Many Treatments Do I Need Before I See Results?

Halo laser treatments are customizable and its results are effective, regardless of the laser strength you and your physician select. You can choose a more direct approach and have only one or two sessions or you can choose a more gentle approach by having multiple treatments over a longer period of time.

Benefits will last for years, but you should know that additional Halo treatments will only improve the appearance of your skin further.

What Post-care Instructions Should I Follow After My Treatment?

Do your best to keep your skin protected from the sun and remember to wear sunscreen. After the first 24 hours, each small area of laser injury will develop what looks like a flake of skin, but it is safe to continue wearing makeup starting the day after the procedure. On day one, you’ll only see minor changes but day two or day three you will notice a soft bronzing tone. On day three or day four, your skin will start to clear and you can start to enjoy the brighter, smoother skin that replaces it. By day seven, all small flakes should be gone.

How Do I Maintain My Best Skin After a Laser Treatment?

You will love your fresh, post-laser skin and there are things you can do to protect your skin while it is healing and maintain your glow after treatment. Learn more on our blog, Laser Skin Resurfacing Aftercare: A Definitive Guide.
